The Confederation of African Football, CAF, in preparation for 2020/2021 season has unveiled her programme for the 2020 2021 football season.
Looking at the calendar, the first and second periods for the registration of players, will run from 01, to 08 November 2020. This will be followed immediately by the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup, with first leg games scheduled for November 20-22, while the return games have been set for November 27-29.
This programming is seemingly strenuous for clubs that will progress to the preliminary rounds, as they will engage the first round from Friday, December 11, to Sunday, December 13 for the first leg games, while the return leg games come up after five days, from December 18 to 20.
The CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup will, however, go on recess in January 2021 to enable home-based players to take part in the African Nations Championship (CHAN), but for the first day of action in the CAF Champions’ League group stages and CAF Confederations Cup playoff, the players go back to the green turf February 12 & 13, 2021.
