Social media influencer Steve Fah motivates ICT University students to pursue jobs in digital industry

Students of the ICT University have been encouraged to dream big take advantage of opportunities provided by the internet and pursue professions in the digital industry.

This was a call made by Steve Fah, a social media influencer.

He said during a conference aimed at teaching young people the methods and approaches needed to be successful in the field of creating and distributing video content online.

It held on Wednesday, June 19 at the ICT University campus in Yaounde

The Master Class organized at the George Mbarika Auditorium of the ICT University provided a unique opportunity for Steve Fah to share his unique experience and exploits with aspiring content creators.

The leading digital university in the Central African subregion played host to a cream of youth, among them ICT University students, who grabbed first-hand lessons on available economic openings on the internet.

For over seven hours, participants were drilled on content creation secrets and how to use social media apps like TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Google by dropping quality images and text messages that can attract more followers.

The goal, Fah said, is to “make money through social media.”

He also explained that “the choice of this school to host this working session is not insignificant due to its training offering,” adding that “after generating content, you should at all costs follow it and create interactions.”.

The youth were empowered with ways to use content creation for monetization. It took the inspiration and distinguished talents of Cameroonian US-based renowned social media animator Steve Fah to train some passionate Cameroonians on how to navigate through social media activities to become household names.

Opening the workshop, ICT University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Jean Emmanuel Pondi, urged students to take advantage of the rare gifts of Steve Fah and create a positive impact in the world.

One of the participants from ICT University, Marie, said, “We study ICT here; it’s true. But we need to know how to earn money through social  networks.”

Another student said, “It’s good to know how to make social media a source of income. Beyond all this, we have learned to manage our publications well. We received all this advice with joy and will put it into practice.”

The master class centred on mastering the art of video content and the positioning of products: strategies and techniques to succeed online.
