Supporters of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) in Ndian II, Ekondo Titi, have pledged to secure a resounding victory for President Paul Biya in tomorrow’s presidential election in Cameroon.

The commitment was made on 11 October, during a closing rally led by the Divisional campaign team Head, Minister and Director of the Cabinet of the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Balungeli Confiance Ebune.

In her opening address, the Mayor of Ekondo Titi Council, Utam Margaret Ndiba, expressed gratitude to the Biya-led administration for its consistent support and project delivery. She highlighted the development of educational, social, and health facilities in Ekondo Titi. The Mayor also thanked President Paul Biya for appointing their local chief and son, Prime Minister Chief Dr Joseph Dion Ngute, as Head of Government.

The section President reaffirmed the region’s loyalty, stating that since the creation of Ndian II section in 1996, “we have never lost an election.” He added, “With our father, the Prime Minister, leading us, we shall not lose now. We see the Prime Minister and the President of the Republic as one. We shall support Paul Biya.”

The General Manager of PAMOL, Tapea Solomon Mbile, credited President Biya’s regular support for the company’s strong recovery. Between 2019 and 2020, PAMOL employed fewer than 400 staff, but today, it boasts over 1,000 employees, with a recent annual turnover of 2.5 billion CFA francs. Mbile noted that the Presidential Plan for the Reconstruction and Development of the North West and South West Regions, along with special government assistance, has kept PAMOL thriving.

Addressing the rally, Minister Balungeli Confiance Ebune declared that the time for talk is over, urging supporters to exercise their civic duty on 12 October and deliver a decisive victory for President Biya.

Echoing the Prime Minister’s message, he called on Ndian Division, particularly Ekondo Titi, to make President Biya proud. He dismissed the opposition’s promises as vague and unconvincing.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Buea, Professor Horace Ngomo Manga, praised President Biya’s vision for establishing universities in all ten regions, as well as primary and secondary schools and hospitals nationwide. He described the appointment of a Prime Minister from Ekondo Titi as a significant honour, stating, “Before, we only heard of the Prime Minister, but now we have one of our own. This proximity is a blessing and reason enough to vote for President Biya.”
