The 5th edition of Mafor Yah Judith Sunday Epse Achidi’s Peace and Unity Sports Competition, with a prize pool of 15 million CFA francs, concluded in Ndu on Saturday, 16 July 2025, with the finals of various sports disciplines. Mbem Rangers FC and Youngsters FC Ladies, both from Nwa, claimed the football trophies in matches held at the CBC Ndu football pitch.
In the men’s football final, Mbem Rangers defeated Sunday Sharp of Ndu 3-2 in a fiercely contested match played under persistent rain. Earlier, in the women’s final, Youngstars of Nwa Ladies secured a 1-0 victory over Young Talents of Ndu. Prizes were also awarded in horse racing, volleyball, and handball.

The football tournament was complemented by the awarding of scholarships to 1,500 schoolchildren and the distribution of educational materials to support a successful 2025/2026 academic year in Ndu Subdivision and Donga Mantung Division. A total of 66 men’s football teams and 10 teams in other disciplines participated in the two-month competition, held during the summer holidays across Donga Mantung Division.

The event fostered peace, national unity, and social cohesion among the people of Donga Mantung through diverse sports disciplines, providing a platform for many young people to showcase their football talents. Youths from the five subdivisions of Donga Mantung travelled to compete with their peers, promoting social integration and community spirit—a key objective of the event’s organiser, Mafor Yah Judith Sunday Epse Achidi, Director General of CAMTEL.
