To commemorate this year’s International Widows’ Day, a free health campaign was organised for widows in the Ndu Subdivision, Donga Mantung Division, in Cameroon’s Northwest region. The initiative, sponsored by Mafor Yah Sunday Epse Achidi, Director General of CAMTEL, aimed to improve the health and well-being of widows in the community.
Mafor Yah Sunday’s initiative brought together more than 500 women who benefited from the campaign. The free campaign offered free medical consultation, laboratory tests, and drugs to those in need, at the Ndu District Hospital. The event was well-received by the community, with many widows expressing gratitude for the initiative, especially as many are in need of such health services, but cannot afford it.

The health campaign by the CAMTEL boss is part of efforts to support vulnerable populations in the region. By providing access to medical care, the initiative seeks to improve the health outcomes of widows and their families.
Mafor Yah Sunday Epse Achidi’s sponsorship of the event is in line with her commitment to social responsibility and community development. The Director General’s efforts have made a significant impact on the lives of widows in Ndu, providing them with much-needed medical care and support.
