The Presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Front (SDF) officially launched his campaign for the 2025 election at a rally in Bamenda on September 27, 2025.
The event, held at the Grandstand on Commercial Avenue, drew a large crowd of supporters, militants, and well-wishers, creating a vibrant atmosphere in the city that gave birth to Cameroon’s democracy.

According to a party statement, the candidate presented the SDF’s “roadmap for change,” which he said is grounded in the principles of justice, accountability, peace, and federalism. He described these values as being at the heart of the party’s long-standing political struggle.
Supporters at the rally gathered in large numbers to, in the words of the party, “reaffirm their faith in the SDF’s vision for a just, democratic, and prosperous Cameroon.”

The SDF remains one of the prominent opposition parties in the country. The official campaign period for the 2025 presidential election is expected to intensify in the coming days, and the SDF party, like many others, is expected in several towns throughout the whole national territory.
